Community Garden
Our community garden is a living classroom where children experience the joy of planting, growing and harvesting their own food. Tending the garden gives children the chance to learn where food comes from, understand the rhythms of nature and develop a sense of care for the environment.
From planting seeds to tasting fresh vegetables, children are engaged in every step of the process. These hands on experiences foster curiosity, responsibility and teamwork while also introducing concepts of nutrition and healthy living.
The garden connects naturally to our farm to table approach, as children bring what they have grown into the classroom to share and enjoy together. Through these experiences, children see how the food on their plate begins in the soil, deepening their appreciation for the earth and the community that sustains them.
Outdoor Play
At Windmill, our two acre campus is both classroom and playground, offering children the freedom to learn indoors or outdoors each day. Natural environments invite children to explore, imagine and create, while indoor spaces provide opportunities for reflection, collaboration and discovery. Together, these experiences nurture curiosity, creativity and a lasting connection with the world around them.
