Windmill Loves to Play!

mission

Windmill is a school for 2 to 5 year old children. We address the whole child by instilling a lifetime love of learning through play-based learning and open-ended exploration, and to nurture the whole family by providing a welcoming place for family education and community connection.
What you should know about windmill is that We are:

A place that welcomes all children and families in a warm, nurturing environment that is made available and accessible to children and families in our community.

A place that engages the individuality of each child in a developmentally appropriate, play-based philosophy through emergent curriculum and open-ended exploration.
A place that values the spirit of volunteerism, community and Windmill School history, flexibility, adaptability and simplicity.

A place that allows children to engage their five senses in learning though hands-on activities and a strong connection to nature and the outdoors.
A place where our community, including alumni and alumni families, gathers both formally and informally to enrich social connectivity and continue learning together.
A place that encourages risk-taking, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
A place that values openness, acceptance, and healthy social interaction.
A place where teachers, families and community members work together to support children and families.
